Indian mission to soon open 3 new passport centres in Jeddah

India's Consulate General here announced today that it will commence three new passport, visa and consular outsourcing service centres from January 1, 2015, to provide better services to about a million Indians living in this Saudi city and its adjoining areas.

Under the new arrangement, the new outsourcing agency, VFS Global, would open three centers in Jeddah, Abha and Tabuk, a statement from the Conuslate said.

The three centers will be well-equipped to deal with all kinds of passport, visa and consular attestation services.

The Consulate also envisages opening another outsourcing center in Jeddah.

The decision towards it would soon be taken and informed to the public.
 

The Consulate General of India, Jeddah has Consular jurisdiction over the Western and South Western regions of Saudi Arabia which include major cities like Jeddah, Makkah, Al Baha, Abha/Khamis Mushyat, Jizan, Madinah, Najran, Tabuk, Taif and Yanbu.

These cities and their suburbs have a large number of Indian expatriates estimated about a million.
