Indian Oilve Association elects Neelima Burra as president

Indian Olive Association has elected Neelima Burra, the Chief Marketing Officer of Cargill India, as its new president.

The association elected new members in its executive council during annual general meeting held recently, it said in a statement. Indian Olive Association (IOA) was established in 2007 to promote, protect and safeguard the interests of the olive and olive oil industry.

"In its new Executive Council, Neelima Burra - Country Head, Olive Oil and CMO of Cargill Foods India has been elected as the new President," the association said.

She was earlier vice president of the IOA and has replaced Rajneesh Bhasin, MD, Borges India, as the President of the association.
 

Rahul Upadhyay, CEO, Rian Imports & Marketing, has been elected as the new vice president of the association.

"In my new role, my endeavour will be to work towards taking the efforts of the association to the next level to popularise the health and wellness benefits of Olives and Olive Oil in the country," Burra said.

The association would work towards making olive category a part of the monthly purchase of the Indian households, she added.
