An Indian-origin former programming manager at Microsoft's corporate headquarters here has been charged with raping a female janitor at his office.
Vineet Kumar Srivastava, 36, allegedly called the woman into his Redmond, Washington, office late at night on the sprawling grounds of the software company on July 22.
He then shoved off her blouse, according to court documents.

Srivastava pushed the screaming woman to the ground and raped her for several minutes, authorities said.
He was arrested on July 26 at his office, Redmond Police spokesman Jim Bove said yesterday.
The suspect told officers the cleaning woman had forced him to have sex. He also said he was afraid of her, but had gone to his car for a condom.
He was freed July 27 on USD 75,000 bail. His arraignment is expected to be scheduled later this month, the paper said.
A Microsoft spokesperson said Srivastava had been fired by the company.
According to the court documents, the woman told police she had reported the alleged assault to a male supervisor, who discounted her claims.
