About 55 per cent Indian professionals in India are very confident of talking about their career achievements both online and in person compared to their global peers, a report says.
About 55 per cent Indian professionals are confident talking about their achievements - higher than professionals in Singapore (31 per cent) and Australia (32 per cent) and also the global average of 35 per cent, LinkedIn's new study 'Your Story @ Work' has revealed.
It said 76 per cent consider social professional networks as the best platform to express their professional successes.

About 11,228 employed adults were surveyed between May 6-19 in countries, including Canada, United States, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Ireland, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sweden, Mexico, France, Singapore, China and Japan.
"The job market in India continues to be very competitive so it's great to see that Indian professionals are confident about showcasing their achievements.
"With the continued rise of social recruiting, leveraging the power of social professional platforms becomes an imperative for professionals, who want to get ahead in their careers," LinkedIn, India and Hong Kong, Head of Communications Deepa Sapatnekar said.
Moreover, over eight out of every 10 (85 per cent) of recruitment decision makers have revealed that they analyse potential candidates based on their online profile on professional networks.
In the area of recruitment, over nine out of 10 (92 per cent) of recruitment decision makers cited 'clear communication of achievements' as one of the most important aspects they look for in candidates, it added.
The same number stated that an online professional profile should give them a sense of candidate personalities, additionally 71 per cent of these recruitment decision makers agree that an empty or sparse profile makes them less likely to consider a candidate for a job, it added.
With social recruiting gaining even more importance in the eyes of recruiters, recruitment decision makers (66 per cent) judge candidates based on their online presence, it said.
It is, therefore, important for Indian professionals to keep their profiles updated with their work and professional achievements, it added.
