Indian team bags silver at World school Chess at Sochi

Team India A won the elusive silver medal in the ultimate World School's team Chess Championships at Sochi, Russia.

Uzbekistan stood first with an aggregate score of 36.5 points followed by team India with 32 points amongst 40 teams that participated from across 28 countries.

Team India A comprised Harshini B of Tamil Nadu, Rishab Shah of Maharashtra, Ayush Pattnaik of Madhya Pradesh, Dhyana Patel of Gujarat and Savitha Shri B of Tamil Nadu.

Kush Bhagat of Mumbai also secured 1st place amongst Under-7 age group in the Blitz Championships, where around 190 participants were in the fray.
