Pakistan will subject Indian visitors to "strict monitoring", days after the country claimed to have arrested an alleged "Indian spy", according to a media report.

The Interior Ministry has directed four provinces, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, to "monitor the activities of foreigners, especially Indians, who visit Pakistan", an official was quoted as saying by the Geo TV.

The ministry has also directed Gilgit Baltistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to follow the new orders.

The new order comes days after the Pakistani military claimed that they detained an Indian ex-navy official in Balochistan on charges of spying.

Indian government has categorically denied that he was involved in subversive activities in Pakistan on its behest.
