An Indian woman died in mysterious circumstances in her apartment in the Nepalese capital today, prompting police to take her husband into custody.
Thirty-year-old Chanda Devi was declared dead when her husband Mahesh Prasad Baniya brought her to Bir Hospital, officials said.
Chanda, a resident of Motihari in Bihar, was staying in a rented apartment at Teku on the outskirts of Kathmandu.
Baniya was taken into custody and interrogated, police said. No further details were immediately available.
