Harrison Ford says he would not mind embarking on another adventure as fictional archaeologist Indiana Jones.

"We've seen the character develop and grow over a period of time and it's perfectly appropriate and okay for him to come back again with a great movie around him...," Ford said in an interview to the Telegraph.

"To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened and that he still managed to survive. That I can do."

The 71-year-old actor, who is currently starring in financial thriller "Paranoia", first appeared as Dr Henry 'Indiana' Jones in 1981 film "Raiders of the Lost Ark".

A prequel, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", followed in 1984 and the sequel "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" in 1989. The fourth film "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was released in 2008.

Created by George Lucas, the series was directed by Steven Spielberg.
