Remembering India's first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 29th death anniversary, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad today said her revolutionary steps took the nation to new heights of progress and prosperity.

"Indira Gandhi's revolutionary steps took the nation to new heights of progress and prosperity," Azad said at a function organised by the Pradesh Congress Committee at its headquarters here today.

Recalling his association with Gandhi, Azad said she steered the country out of several challenges under her bold leadership.
