Indo-Israel CoE for mango farmers in Gujarat unveiled

An Indo-Israel Centre of Excellence (CoE) to educate mango farmers about modern farming techniques was today unveiled in Talala city in Gir Somnath district, Gujarat.

The centre is expected to be operational next year. This is the third centre being set up in Gujarat. The other two are located in Vadrad and Bhuj with a focus on vegetables and palm cultivation, respectively, said a statement issued by the Israel embassy here.

As per the bilateral agreement, Israel plans to set up total 26 such centers in India. This is the 13th centre being inaugurated.
