Among others, a 32-member delegation from Pakistan, members of Indian NGO 'Hind Pak Dosti Manch' and those of Folklore Research Academy would take part in the candlelight march from the Indian side, the event's organisers said today.
Secretary General of South Asia Free Media Association (SAFMA), Imtiaz Alam, from Pakistan, general secretary of Hind Pak Dosti Manch, Satnam Manak, and president of Folklore Research Academy, Ramesh Yadav, said people on both the sides would turn up for the march at the Attari check post on August 14 at 12.00 AM .
The aim was to spread the message of friendship, peace and love, they said, adding that promoting people-to-people contact on both sides was the way forward.
Eminent personalities of India and Pakistan are expected to attend the event on Indian soil, they said.
A seminar would be organised on August 13 on the theme of 'Indo-Pak Relations' wherein speakers from the two countries would talk on peaceful relations.
The 32-member delegation from Pakistan would also be attending the talk, they said.
