Indo-Pak talks a forward movement for resolving issues: NC

"People of Jammu and Kashmir have great stakes in the Indo-Pak relations as the relations between the two countries have a direct impact on Kashmir," Additional General Secretary of NC, Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, was quoted as saying in a party statement.

The cordial Indo-Pak relations have a bearing on the peace in the sub-continent and the South Asian region, the NC leader said.

Kamal appealed to both the governments to continue the ongoing dialogue process so that it will generate better environment for restarting the dialogue at a political level.

"Better Indo-Pak relations are imperative for peace and resolution of various issues between the two neighbours. NC will facilitate all process aimed at bringing thaw in the relations of the two countries and seek permanent peace and stability in the state," he said.

 

"National Conference and its leadership have always been for good Indo-Pak relations and our efforts in this direction would continue," he said.

The two-day talks between India's Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai and his Pakistani counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani concluded today in New Delhi.
