Indo-US-Japan trilateral meet: Biswal to lead US delegation

Focus will be on enhancing regional connectivity, economic prosperity, maritime security, and response to natural disasters

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Nisha Desai Biswal will lead the American delegation for 5th India-US-Japan trilateral consultations in Tokyo this week.

"Their discussions will focus on enhancing regional connectivity, economic prosperity, maritime security, and response to natural disasters," the State Department said in a statement yesterday.

Following her visit to Tokyo, Biswal will continue to Dhaka for her first bilateral visit to Bangladesh.

"There, she will discuss shared global, regional, and bilateral priorities with Bangladeshi government, opposition, labor, and civil society leaders," the State Department said.
