Singh, who was also given the portfolio of MoS, Defence, apart from Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry, in the recent cabinet reshuffle, told reporters that his priority will be to increase resources for sportspersons.
It was his first visit after taking over as the MoS Defence to his constituency and he was welcomed by his supporters in large number.
