Indore: 2 more swine flu death, toll reaches 7

Two more persons have died of swine flu here, taking the toll since January 1 to seven.

"A 68-year-old woman from Dhar district and a 66-year-old man with symptoms of swine flu were admitted to different hospitals some days back. Both died on January 30," said Dr Sanjay Dixit, the dean of the government-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College.

The swab sample test reports today confirmed that they had swine flu, he said.

Another person, with suspected symptoms of swine flu, died yesterday at the government-run Maharaja Yeswantrao Hospital here. His swab sample report was yet to come.

Two swine flu patients were discharged from MYM after treatment.
 

Meanwhile, the divisional commissioner Sanjay Dubey today visited the swine flu patients ward of MYM and reviewed the facilities.

Apart from MYM, the district Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) has identified ten private hospitals for treatment of swine flu patients.
