Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha today flagged off two new trains to Kochuveli and Pune from Indore and made announcement of a new train to Guwahati.

A train from Indore to Guwahati will start shortly, he announced.

"The new train to Guwahati via Lucknow and Patna will run after repair work of washing line of Indore Railway Station scheduled to be completed in October," Sinha said.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan was also present.

In view of passengers' demand, the Railways will consider starting trains from Indore to Rajasthan, Sinha added.

He alleged that the UPA Government gave step-motherly treatment to Madhya Pradesh as it allocated only Rs 748 crore for the train network in the state for FY 2013-14, while the NDA Government allocated a whopping Rs 3,561 crore last fiscal. This fiscal MP had been allocated Rs 4,325 crore, he added.

Mahajan praised the Railways for expediting the rail project in MP. With allocation of Rs 100 crore for Indore-Dahod rail line, it would be constructed in a few years, she hoped.

Indore-Kochuveli Express will run from here on Tuesdays while Indore-Pune Express on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
