Indore: Swine flu claims one more life, death toll reaches 25

A 65-year-old woman died of swine flu here today, taking the total number of deaths in the city due to the infection to 25 this year, a medical official said.

The woman died during treatment at a city hospital, Dr Asha Pandit, district in-charge of Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) said.

"She had been on life support since the last three days," Pandit added.

According to her, of the 90 patients, who tested positive for swine flu, 25 have died during treatment at different hospitals in the city so far this year.

Out of the total number of deceased, 10 persons had come to Indore for treatment from other districts, Dr Pandit added.
