In a bid to hasten the creation of skilled manpower in the state, the government has meanwhile asked the companies concerned to start ITCs in temporary accommodations or in hired buildings by August, officials said.
"They have also been asked to engage trainers and procure equipment well in time," Chief Secretary B K Patnaik said after reviewing the progress of the establishment of ITCs by Industries and Public Sector Units.
At least 26 industrial houses and PSUs have signed MoUs with the state government for setting up ITCs across the state.
While an ITC will be established at Hemagiri of Sundargarh District by the state owned Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC), another will come up at Banki of Cuttack District by Tata Power Company Ltd.
Emami Paper Mills will set up an ITC at Balgopalpur of Balasore district followed by one at Kalynsingpur of Rayagada district by RSB Metaltech.
All the 26 companies have been alloted separate places for the ITCs.
Meanwhile, a senior official said, land for these ITCs have been identified, and added that district collectors have been asked to expedite the process of 'alienation of land' for setting up of the ITCs.
