Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial prices eased in an otherwise thin oils and oilseeds market here today on poor demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

Linseeds oil also continued its downtrend on stockist selling amidst lack of demand from paint and allied industries.

Meanwhile, groundnutoil and refined palmolein prices held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In the futures market, castorseeds slipped further due to weak export enquiries.

In the non-edible section, Castorseeds bold edged down by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 3,565 from Monday's closing level of Rs 3,575 and castoroil commercial also looked down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 743 from Rs 745. Linseed oil declined by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 805 as against to Rs 810 yesterday.

Turning to futures, castorseeds June contract resumed lower at Rs 3,838 and moved down to Rs 3,815 before closing at Rs 3,837 showing a mere loss of Rs 9 per tonne.

Moving to edible section, Groundnut oil and refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 1,200 and Rs 512 per 10 kg, respectively.
