Industrial oils eases in lacklustre trade

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial eased in an otherwise lacklustre oils and oilseeds Vashi wholesale market here today on subdued offtake from shippers and soap industries.

Linseedoil also slipped following reduced demand from paint and allied industries.

In edible segment, refined palmolein edged down further owing to lower retail buying support.

While groundutoil held steady due to lack any major buying.

In the futures market, castorseeds slid on continued speculative selling on the back of reduced export enquiries.

In the non-edible section, castorseeds declined by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,475 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,500 and castorseeds bold went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 725 from Rs 730.
 

Linseedoil moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 725 from previous close of Rs 730.

Moving to edible segment, refined palmolein inched down by Re 1 per 10 kg to Rs 504 as against Rs 505 previously. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,130 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures, Castorseed for June contract resumed lower at Rs 3,455 and later drifted to finish to at Rs 3,424 from Rs 3,470 last weekend, showing a net fall of Rs 46 per tonne.
