Both castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial edged up in an otherwise mute oils and oilseeds market at Vashi here today on renewed offtake from shippers and soap industries.

Meanwhile, groundnutoil and refined palmolein eased further on poor demand from stockists and retailers.

Linseeds oil held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In the futures market, castorseeds moved up further amidst modest speculative buying on the back of good export enquiries.

In non-edible section, castorseeds bold moved up by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,590 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,575 and castoroil commercial added by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 748 from Rs 745. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 825 per 10 kg.

Moving to edible section, groundnutoil declined by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,200 from overnight close of Rs 1,205 and refined palmolein inched down by a rupee per kg to Rs 503 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures, castorseeds June contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,868 and hovered in a range of Rs 3,878 and Rs 3,861 before ending at Rs 3,871 showing a gain of Rs 11 per tonne.
