Industrial oils gains further on good demand

While, in edible segment refined palmolein softened on reduced retail demand.

Meanwhile, groundnutoil and linseedoil maintained a stable trend in the absence of market moving factors.

In futures trade, castorseeds slipped on speculative selling following reduced export enquiries.

In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold gained by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,225 from last Saturday's close of Rs 3,200 and castoroil commercial added by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 675 from 670. Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 770 per 10 kg.

In the edible section, refined palmolein looked down by a rupee per 10 kg to Rs 622 from Rs 623 previously. However, Groundnutoil remained steady at Rs 1,170 per 10 kg.

 

Moving to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,200, but later moved up to 3,205 before sliding to close at Rs 3,172 as against Rs 3,202 previously, showing a loss of Rs 30 per tonne.
