Industrial oils move up on better offtake

In the edible segment, refined palmolein also inched up on retail support amidst higher Malaysian cues.

Meanwhile, linseedoil and groundnutoil held steady in the absence of any major buying activity.

In futures, castorseeds gained on speculative demand owing to good export enquiries.

In non-edible section, castorseeds bold edged up by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,190 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,175 and castoroil commercial added by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 668 from Rs 665. However, linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 710 per 10 kg.

Turning to edible-section, refined palmolein looked up marginally to Rs 628 per 10 kg from Rs 627 previously. Groundnut oil ended stable at Rs 1,185 per 10 kg.

 

Moving to futures, castorseed for the June contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,120, but later advanced to Rs 3,152 before closing at Rs 3,145 as against Rs 3,121 previously, showing a rise of Rs 24 per tonne.
