Industrial oils remains firm on sustained demand

In futures, castorseeds prices also surged owing to hectic speculative offtake following higher export enquiries.

Meanwhile, groundnutoil, refined palmolein and linseedoil held steady due to lack of any major buying activity.

In non-edible segment, castorseeds bold rose by Rs 75 per 100 kg to Rs 3,525 from Friday's close of 3,450 and castoroil commercial gained by Rs 15 per 10 kg to Rs 735.

Linseedoil closed unchanged at Rs 755 per 10 kg.

Turning to futures, castorseeds for the September contract opened higher at Rs 3,735 and climbed to close at Rs 3,816 as against Rs 3,816 yesterday, showing a net gain of Rs 100 per tonne.

 

However, groundnutoil and refined palmolein ended unaltered at Rs 1,185 and Rs 613 per 10 kg respectively.
