In the edible segment, refined palmolein edged down further owing to reduced retail demand following bearish Malaysian cues.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil held steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In futures trade, castorseeds fell on speculative selling due to subdued export enquiries.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold dropped by Rs 50 per 100 kg to 3,150 from Tuesday's close of Rs 3,200 and castoroil commercial declined by Rs 10 per 10 kg to 660 from Rs 670 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 770 per 10 kg.
Turning to edible section, refined palmolein looked down by Re 1 per 10 kg to Rs 627 and groundnutoil ended stable at Rs 1,160 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed lower at Rs 3,200 and dipped further to close at Rs 3,124 as against Rs 3,218 previously, showing a fall of Rs 94 per tonne.
