Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial prices strengthened further in an otherwise listless Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following persistent demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil, refined palmolein and linseed oil ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
In the non-edible segment, castor seeds bold rose by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,200 from Wednesday's level of Rs 3,150 and castoroil commercial moved up by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 670 against Rs 660 yesterday. However, linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 870 per 10kg.
Turning to the edible section, groundnut oil and refined palmolein closed unaltered at Rs 1,120 per 10kg and Rs 602 per 10kg, respectively.
