A delegation from CII would meet the Union Ministers of Railway, Civil Aviation and Road Transport, to put forward the demands and requirements for industrial development in Coimbatore and surrounding areas.
The delegation, along with MPs elected from the region, would meet the ministers and higher officials of these departments on December 17 and 18, Ravi Sam, Chairman, CII, Tamil Nadu, told a meeting of industrialists from different sectors.
With the region growing year-on-year, there was the urgent need for improved air connectivity, railway, including night train to Bengaluru and bypasses, he said.
A wish list has also been prepared, which would be submitted to the ministers, he said.
