Industry has lost a champion, says SICCI

: The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of the oldest in the country, today said the demise of J Jayalalithaa has left a void which can never be filled and that the industry has lost a champion.

"We wishto share our deepest condolences of the passing away of our beloved Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. It is an irreparableloss. The industry has lost its champion. The industries in Tamil Nadu will never forget the valuable contributionsmade by her for the industrial development in the State", SICCI President M Rafeeque Ahmed said.

He said Tamil Nadu became the auto manufacturing hub of India with companies like Ford and Hyundai establishing their manufacturingbase in Tamil Nadu. The Global Investor Meet was a testimonyas to how Jayalalithaa attracted industries from the world over to invest in the state",he said in a statement.
 

The untimely demise ofJayalalithaa has created a void in the State, which can never be filled, he said.
