Retail inflation based on consumer price index for industrial workers (CPIN) rose to 6.72 per cent in November while food inflation increased to 7.86 per cent during the month.
The corresponding rate of inflation and food inflation was 4.12 per cent and 2.58 per cent, respectively in November 2014.
This rise in inflation is mainly due to increase in prices of items in food group, eggs, milk, vegetables, potato, tomato, flowers and tailoring charges, among others.

Indices were above all India level at 36 centres while it was below national level at 41 centres.
