Former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit today hit out at the Modi government claiming that price rise had broken the common man's backbone while those in power were busy talking big.
Talking to media-persons here, she said that there was a rise in the price of pulses, LPG and other commodities but the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were silent on the issue.
"Modi is talking big but not concerned about the plight of the common manwhose backbone has been broken due to price rise," she alleged.

When prices increased during the Congress rule, hue and cry was raised by the BJP, but today the NDA government is doing nothing to provide succour to the people, she alleged.
She claimed that the BJP leaders were frustrated at the popularity of her party leader Rahul Gandhi and were making cheap comments.
She accused the prime minister of being "dictatorial".
The NDA government had promised to lay the Chandigarh- Manali-Leh Railway line and increase the import duty on apple to protect the interests of Himachali apple growers but both the promises remained unfulfilled.
Meanwhile, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, who was here to give boost to the BJP campaign, said that Narendra Modi was the only Prime minister, who has succeeded in controlling prices and inflation had come down.
