An intensive search was conducted at the Rural Development Agency office here, where senior IAS Officer U Sagayam is probing the alleged irregularities in granite quarrying in the district, following information that equipments to keep tab of the inquiry proceedings had been installed.
The information about the spying equipment had been received by Personal Assistant to Sayagam. The information turned out to be a hoax after officials conducted searches allover the office.
