Infosys Public Services (IPS), a US-based subsidiary of IT major Infosys today said its project with the District of Columbia (DC) Department of Human Services has moved into pilot production phase.
The project, DC Access System (DCAS), aims to modernise the district's eligibility and enrollment system for food assistance, cash assistance and other social services benefit programmes.
The district received permission from Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), an agency within the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), to move this new system into the pilot production phase, Infosys said.
The pilot phase is the federally-mandated final test phase before the system is allowed to launch, it added.
