India's "inherent" strength in technology can be used to improve the quality of education in the country, an official said today.
Speaking at the Education Solutions Technology Framework Conclave here, Department of School Education and Literacy Joint Secretary Maneesh Garg said ICT can provide interactive methods of delivering education and deliver better understanding.
He added that one of the objectives of Digital India programme is to impart skills to students for making them employable.

Mytrah Energy commissions 210 MW at 3 projects
Mytrah Energy today announced commissioning of an additional 210 MW at its Vajrakarur 2, Nidhi and Nazeerabad projects.
This has increased the company's operating wind portfolio to 826.4 MW at the start of the 2016 wind season, which is 83 MW ahead of the firm's initial target, the company said in a statement.
Mytrah has also reported that extensive progress has been made on additional wind project construction, with 90 MW erected and expected to be commissioned later this year, and a further 87 MW planned before mid-2017, taking its generation capacity to 1000 MW.
In addition to the wind capacity expansion, development of the company's solar pipeline continues, with PPAs now signed for all 377 MW in Telangana and Punjab and a further 45 MW won in the recent Karnataka allocation.

Maersk to recycle 2 vessels at Alang under new initiative
Global shipping player Maersk Group today said in line with its announcement for responsible recycling options at Alang, the firm will get two of its vessels recycled at Shree Ram Yard.
"Following the Maersk Group's recent announcement of its commitment to create more responsible recycling options in Alang, an agreement has been reached for landing of the first two vessels. The Maersk Wyoming and the Maersk Georgia, two Maersk Line container vessels, are expected in Alang late May 2016," the company said in a statement.
The vessels will be recycled at the Shree Ram yard in Alang which is certified to the standards of the Hong Kong Convention.
The company said market for ship recycling is dominated by practises unchanged for decades and out of the total 768 ships recycled globally in 2015, 469 - representing 74 per cent of the total gross tonnage scrapped - were sold to facilities on beaches in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh with challenges to workers and the environment.
Microsoft sets up online store on Tata CLiQ
* Microsoft has set up its online store on Tata group's online platform 'Tata CLiQ' to sell the tech-major's products including tablets, software and phones.
"Increasingly consumers are going online to shop for a number of things, including mobiles, devices and software. We therefore are expanding our online presence through our official Microsoft Store (on Tata Cliq) so that our consumers find it easier to experience and buy our products," Microsoft India Country GM (Consumer Channel Group) Priyadarshi Mohapatra said in a statement.
As part of the partnership, consumers will get inaugural discounts and offers on products like Microsoft Surface Pro 4, Lumia smartphones and Office 365 subscription, it said.

TCS wins Randstad's IT transformation deal * TCS has won a tech transformation deal from Randstad Global IT Solutions.
The partnership with the European country is to design and deploy a public cloud marketplaces for IT infrastructure services, a TCS statement said today.
"This engagement will enable Randstad to significantly boost the agility and scalability of its global IT services, as well as drive efficiencies and economies of scale," TCS' director and head for Benelux, Amit Kapur, said.
As part of its IT transformation strategy, Randstad wants to improve its IT Infrastructure operations through assets and vendor optimisation, process standardisation, automation and deriving economies of scale, a TCS statement said.
