A local BJD leader, who was seriously injured after being shot at by gunmen in Odisha's Ganjam district last month, succumbed to injuries today, police said.
Subash Sahu (48), former samiti member of Kulagada panchayat in Sheragada block, was undergoing treatment in a private hospital after the attack in his village Badapur under Dharakote police station limit on June 25.
Sahu was returning home after taking bath at a village pond when two motor-cycle borne assailants fired at him before hitting him with sharp weapons.
Two persons have so far been arrested while efforts are on to nab some others, police said adding old rivalry was suspected to be the cause behind the attack.
