INLD releases names of 8 candidates for state polls

Opposition party in Haryana INLD today released the third list of eight party candidates for the forthcoming assembly elections scheduled to be held on October 15.

With the release of today's list, the INLD has declared a total of 81 party candidates out of total 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana.

The list was released by MLA Abhay Chautala, son of party Chief and former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala along with INLD State President Ashok Arora in a press conference held here today.

Among the candidates whose names were announced are -- Bheem Mahajan (Hisar), Umed Lohan (Hansi), Raj Kumar Sharma (Rohtak), Satish Das (Meham), KC Bangar (Gohana), Kapoor Singh (Baroda), Kishore Yadav (Sohna) and Tejveer Singh (Pundri).
 

However, the party changed the candidate from Mahendargarh seat from where it has now given a ticket to Nirmala Tanwar. Earlier, INLD had given the ticket to Rao Bahadur Singh.

Addressing the reporters here, Chautala said the party will announce its candidates for remaining nine seats soon.

Among the seats for party candidates, which are yet to be declared include Uchana Kalan, Dabwali and Ladwa.

INLD Chief and former Chief Minister of Haryana Om Prakash Chautala is an MLA from Uchana Kalan while his son Ajay Chautala is MLA from Dabwali seat. Sher Singh Badshami is INLD MLA from Ladwa seat.

Three of them are serving jail after they were convicted in 1999 JBT recruitment scam.

Chautala said the SAD which is INLD's ally in Haryana for assembly polls, would announce party candidates from Kalanwali and Ambala city within two days.
