InMobi, a mobile advertising solutions provider, today said it has created a USD 25 million (about Rs 150 crore) fund for supporting independent game developers.

The InMobi fund aims to support the "indie" (independent) game developer community, it said in a statement.

InMobi will provide advisory services, including global scaling, monetisation and ad experience creation, to developers who enroll through 2014, it added.

The fund will equip indie game developers to increase their app revenue through superior monetisation, it said.

The company has also announced its new monetisation solution for Games, including playable ads format.

This solution allows developers to optimise their monetisation strategies based on the emotional state of players as they move through different stages of the game.

"InMobi is focussed on enabling indie developers scale globally. With a dedicated program like InMobi monetisation solution for games, we are reiterating our commitment to this community," InMobi VP (Products) Piyush Shah said.

He added that the programme will help the firm partner with innovative minds in the gaming world to further push the envelope on ad experiences.
