Officials of district administration including Inspector General Police A S Chawla, Deputy Commissioner Amit Aggarwal and SP Anil Dhawan visited dalit families and jats in Bhagana village in this district.

"The situation in the village is quite normal and we are trying that a few families who are squatting near mini-secretariat, Hisar, also return," Chawla told reporters

"We have ensured safety and security of each resident of the village. We did not come across any evidence which may prove that any dalit was insulted by upper caste people," he said.

However, the district administration has appointed a DSP to inquire into the complaint. "If the police find any one one guilty of any criminal offence, a casr will be registered," he said.
