Inquiry ordered into case of accidental fire

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister directed the revenue department and the police to conduct an enquiry and submit a comprehensive report on the yesterday night's fire accident in Kakinada.

AP Deputy CM N Chinarajappa and Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu visited Kumbhabhishkam area in Kakinada today to console people, whose 65 huts were reduced to ashes, in the accidental fire.

They claimed that the AP state government would extend all co-operation to victims of the fire.

The revenue department and police officials have been instructed to conduct an comprehensive inquiry into the incident and submit a report at the earliest. Based on the report, compensation will be paid to victims, the ministers said.
