"We have information that the ultras are preparing to launch subversive activities ahead of the assembly elections but the state police is ready to face any kind of eventuality," Sinha said while unveiling a memorial of policemen killed by separatists in 2002 at Hirapur, about 30 km from here.
The DGP urged the ultras to shun the path of violence and join the mainstream and involve themselves in developmental works.
