Delhi Police today told a court here that they have received intelligence inputs that alleged gangster Neeraj Bawana, arrested in connection with various cases lodged against him, could be attacked by his rivals during his transportation from jail to court.
Seeking a nod to produce Bawana and his alleged arrested associates before the court through video conferencing, the police said that physical production of these accused before the court could be a security concern.
The application in this regard was filed before Additional Sessions Judge Neena Bansal Krishna by the lock-up incharge of the Patiala House district courts.

He argued that when Bawana was being physically produced in Rohini district court here, why can't the police produce him at Patiala House court. He said he would file a reply on the plea filed by police.
Meanwhile, the court fixed October 12 for commencement of arguments on framing of charges in the case in which special cell of Delhi Police has chargesheeted Bawana and nine others, including former MLA Rambeer Shokeen, for allegedly running an organised crime syndicate in the Delhi-NCR region.
Bawana had yesterday filed an application before the court seeking direction to the police and Tihar Jail authorities to enhance his security during transportation between courts and the prison apprehending that his rivals may attempt to kill him while being taken to the courts.
Besides Bawana and Shokeen, the police has chargesheeted Neeraj's elder brother Pankaj Sehrawat and other arrested members of the syndicate -- Sunil Rathi, Amit Malik alias Bhura, Naveen Dabas, Rahul Dabas, Naveen Hooda, Deepak Dabas and Gurpreet Singh.
Shokeen, who has evaded arrest so far, has been declared as proclaimed offender by the court.
The police has chargesheeted them for the alleged offences punishable under the provisions of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
