At a meeting at painter Suvaprasanna's house tonight, a group of intellectuals including thespian Bivas Chakraborty, Saonli Mitra and Arpita Ghosh took the decision.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was also present in the meeting.
"It was decided that a rally to protest against the Centre's economic policies would be brought out in the city on September 25," sources said.
