Eagle Squadron emerged victorious in the Inter-Squadron Cross-Country championship for Spring Term 2016 conducted at Indian Naval Academy at nearby Ezhimala today.
The prestigious event, participated by 847 cadets from the six squadrons of the academy was flagged-off by Rear Admiral M D Suresh, Deputy Commandant of the INA at 6.00 am, according to a INA release.
The trainees ran a course of 12 km across the varied terrain of Ezhimala, including a beach stretch of about two km, during the championship which tests the limits of physical endurance, determination and will power of cadets.
Rear Admiral M D Suresh presented the trophy to the winning Squadron and individual prizes to the medal winners, the release added.
