Uttar Pradesh police today claimed to have busted an inter-state auto-lifters gang with the arrest of seven people here.
Acting on a tip off, four persons were arrested and on their disclosure three of their accomplices were nabbed, Superintendent of Police SP Ganguly said, adding 18 stolen two-wheelers were seized from their possession.
The gang members were active in Mau, Azamgarh and Ballia districts of Uttar Pradesh and in adjoining areas of neighbouring Bihar, he said.
