Inter-state gang arrested

A six-member gang of inter-state robbers, that had planned to loot two banks in the city today, was arrested, police said.

A V George, Kozhikode City Police Commissioner, said the gang had confessed to police about their plan to loot the banks. Their car was also taken into custody.

Police recovered some equipments, gloves and masks from the car.

Two luxury cars and three motorcycles, stolen from nearby Perambra, Mahe and Koilandy recently, were also seized from the gang, he said.
