Police today claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of arms smugglers, with the arrest of a person and recovered large quantity of weapons from him in Bihar's Munger district, an official said.
Acting on a tip off, police nabbed Akhtar Rasool from Jahajghat locality and seized 55 automatic pistols, 54 magazines and Rs one lakh in cash from him, district Police Superintendent Varun Kumar Sinha said.
Rasool was going to Uttar Pradesh to deliver the weapons to a client, Sinha said.
