Odisha police arrested seven inter-state dacoits, two of which are from neighbouring State of Jharkhand, late on Friday night.
Police have retrieved from them four country-made pistols, four live bullets, a sharp weapon, two packets of chilli powder and three motorcycles, police said.
According to police control room sources here, the Sundargarh Town police raided the hideout of the gang of dacoits near the Mission Cremation ground while they were planning to loot a marble shop of nearby area. Although, the criminals launched a counter offensive against the police, the latter overpowered all the eight members of the gang, sources said.
