The accused Rahul, Gulab Malik, Salman Malik were involved in looting of a truck loaded with 12 ton of TMT iron rods parked near DC office in Kapashera, along with their three other associates on August 18 last year.
"The looted truck loaded with iron rods was recovered by the police from the warehouse of a scrap dealer in Baghpat and Rahul suspected that one of their associate Hajari could be identified by the scrap dealer. They then made a sinister plan to kill him," Yadav said.

After killing Hajari, Rahul finished off his wife by taking her to Dadri where he beheaded her and then burnt her body by sprinkling kerosene. He also abandoned her two-year-old daughter near a roundabout in Noida, he added.
Rahul's associate Sachin who took part in several crimes including dacoity at the retired army captain's house in Kankerkhera (Merrut) and a couple of highway robberies on Delhi-Rajasthan highway along with the gang, was also caught by the police.
