The fifth inter-state national level (senior) pickleball tournament will be held in Bengaluru from August 3 to 5.
Pickleball is a racquet-n-ball sport played in countries like USA, UK, Spain, Canada, Singapore, Thailand, and the Netherlands.
It is played on a badminton-size court and the style is similar to tennis.
Teams from 15 states (men and women) are participating in it, said the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), which is organising the event.
The tournament will be held in singles, doubles and mixed categories.
AIPA Secretary Sunil Valavarkar said the association's aim was to promote the sport.
