Three persons were arrested and two girls were rescued after an inter-state sex racket was busted here, police said today.

Sanjiv Kumar, Dinesh Kumar and Rajiv Kumar were arrested from Patel Nagar by the STF and Dehradun police yesterday following a tip-off, a release from state police headquarters said.

They have been booked under Prevention of illegal sex trade Act and are being interrogated, it said.

The three have been accused of bringing girls from different states and forcing them into illegal sex trade, the release said.

The rescued girls belong to West Bengal, it said.

The trio had links with an inter-state gang of women traffickers who got in touch with customers through a website and supplied girls to places chosen by them, including their hotel rooms, for a fee between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000, the release said.
