Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today described the interim budget presented by Union Finance minister P Chidambaram as an earnest endeavour to provide relief to the people from rising prices, but added it was "very less" and had come "very late."
"Effort has been made to provide relief to the people from price rise but this effort has been very late and very less," Soren said in an official communique.
Though it was an interim budget, he added, effort was made to fulfill expectations of the people, yet time alone would say how productive the effort had been.
The Soren-led JMM/Congress/RJD coalition would present the annual financial statement on February 21.
